Julie graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Nutrition, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics from the University of Otago. She is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and holds membership with the Dietetic Association of Australia. She has also been a member of the British Health Professions Council, British Dietitian Association and New Zealand Dietetic Association.

Mr Michael Hii is an Upper Gastro Intestinal and Bariatric surgeon, who specializes in diseases of the oesophagus, stomach and adrenal glands. Mr Hii completed training in general surgery in Melbourne and went on to fulfil an additional three years of specialization in some of the best centres in the world for oesophago-gastric surgery. Mr Hii has particular skills in treating oesophageal and stomach cancer, reflux disease ,hiatal hernia and diseases of the adrenal glands.

Mr Brett Knowles completed training in General Surgery at Royal Melbourne Hospital Melbourne in 2007. After completing a year-long Australian fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary surgery at Box Hill Hospital he headed to the United Kingdom for two years. The first year was spent as a clinical fellow in Hepatobiliary and Transplantation Surgery at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh working for Regius Professor James Garden. The second year was spent as the clinical and research fellow in the Hepatobiliary unit at Basingstoke NHS working for Mr Myrddin Rees. Basingstoke NHS is one of the leading European centres for liver and cytoreduction surgery in Europe.

Mr Satish Warrier is a Colorectal Surgeon at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Alfred Health, Melbourne, Australia. Satish graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2002 with MBBS/Bsc (Medical) and qualified as a General Surgeon in Victoria in 2009. He was awarded the Covidien Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at Epworth Healthcare in 2010 and subsequently underwent post fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, OH, USA.

In 2012, Mr Warrier completed a Colorectal and Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) fellowship at Alfred Health. He has also completed a Master of Surgery on the “Management of Young Patients with Colorectal Cancer”.

Mr Eugene Ong is a specialist colorectal surgeon who has undergone extensive training in the field of Colorectal Surgery. He has worked in the leading colorectal centres of the world alongside recognised pioneers and experts in colorectal surgery. He is especially skilled in minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic (“Key-hole”), single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS), robotic surgery, endoscopic surgery (colonoscopy) and Trans-anal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEMs) and is now considered an expert in the field.

Dr Rode graduated with Honours from The University of Melbourne and completed a hepatology PhD at RMH. He has published gut and liver disease research internationally and presented his works across Europe and America. He tutors medical students at The University of Melbourne and Monash University and has interests in liver disease, vitamin D, endoscopy and IBS.

Dr Jayasekera graduated with Honours from The University of Melbourne and completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy. He obtained a Doctorate of Medical Science that was published in international journals and has presented widely on gut disease and endoscopy. He has interests in GORD (heartburn), IBS and endoscopic procedures including Barrett’s oesophagus treatment.
